Zhuhai visit guide
Qi’ao Island Zhuhai: White Stone Street, Bridge & Wetland Access
Qi’ao is reached by road over a bridge, unlike Zhuhai’s ferry islands. Choose the old village around White Stone Street for a manageable first visit. The mangrove reserve is a separate destination with its own access conditions; a road connection to the island does not mean every ecological area is open to visitors.

Why visit Qi’ao Island
White Stone Street, Tianhou Temple and places associated with Su Zhaozheng give the village specific historic interest. These are distinct stops inside a living settlement, so access to interiors must be checked separately.
Road access avoids ferry booking, while the village still provides an island settlement to explore.
Follow the village’s named streets
Use 淇澳白石街 as a practical map destination, then consult local signs for the other historic stops. Some buildings may be in use or closed. Looking at the street and architecture can still be worthwhile without expecting every doorway to be an exhibition entrance.
Check the mangrove reserve independently
If your main interest is ecology, contact the reserve or responsible authority for current visitor arrangements before coming. It is not an extension of the village ticket or walk. If you cannot obtain confirmed access, keep the visit to the public village rather than promising a mangrove excursion.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a ferry to Qi’ao?
No. The island is connected by Qi’ao Bridge and reached by road. Check the bus or taxi journey to your chosen village entrance.
Can I walk freely into the mangrove reserve?
Do not assume that. Check the reserve’s current access arrangements independently; the public village visit does not establish permission.
Which map point should I use?
Use 淇澳白石街 for the village. A general island or reserve destination may send you somewhere different.
