Three neighbourhoods, three complete walks

Three Shenzhen Walking Routes

A civic center walk, a bay walk and a maritime Shekou walk—each designed to end near rest, food and public transport.

Choose one walk at a time; the gaps between routes are Metro transfers, not walking links.

These routes stay inside one neighbourhood at a time. The Futian walk links three civic spaces, the bay walk follows one continuous shoreline section, and the Shekou walk joins a cultural venue, the public waterfront and dinner near the metro.

Leave the station into the large public concourse and take a few minutes to find the north-west direction before walking toward the civic centre.

    02

Civic Center exterior and public axis

Cross the open civic axis outside the government buildings. Treat the architecture and plaza as the stop; do not assume the buildings themselves are open to visitors.

    03

    Lianhuashan lower park

Rest first; climb only if weather and energy are comfortable.

  4. +03:15

    04

    Exit toward dinner

Use the remaining buffer for sunset crowds or a slower descent.

02

Start from a metro-accessible bay section; finish toward Houhai.
When to start
Begin 2.5–3 hours before sunset.

Enter from Shenzhen Bay Park station

Follow the signed access to the shore and begin toward Houhai. The goal is one continuous section, not the full 13-kilometre park.

  2. +00:50

    02

Stop before the open shore becomes tiring

Use a shaded or seated section when available. This is the point to shorten the walk if heat, rain or wind is building.

  3. +01:40

    03

    Continue to Talent Park

Keep the water on the same side and use Talent Park as the clear final landmark. Stop earlier if the total distance is already enough.

  4. +02:40

    04

    Exit toward Houhai for dinner

Leave the waterfront from the Talent Park side and continue to the nearest practical metro or dinner area shown by your live map.

03

Walk 3 · Maritime Shekou

Start and finish
Start at the Sea World Culture and Arts Center; finish near Sea World metro and dinner.
When to start
Begin mid-afternoon while the cultural center is still open.
Where it ends
Finish by the Minghua ship and Sea World metro after dinner.
Distance and effort
Mostly level 3–5 km.

    Waterfront and Nuwa Park

Leave the building toward the public shore and continue through Nuwa Park. Keep to open public paths and allow time to sit by the water.

  3. +02:00

    03

Return toward the Minghua ship for the district's maritime landmark. The ship interior and nearby venues keep separate access and hours.

  • These are suggested walks, not turn-by-turn navigation. Use live maps for closures and entrances.
  • Waterfronts and civic plazas have changing event controls. Keep one easy exit in mind.
