Eleven places with photos, timing and map context

Foshan places worth planning around

Compare seven places with full visit guides, then use four shorter decisions for He Art Museum, OCT Harbour PLUS, Qiandeng Lake and Shunfengshan Park.

Chancheng, Shiwan, Beijiao, Daliang, Xingtan and Xiqiao belong to different parts of the trip. Choose the area before the attraction.

One Shunde day or two

Choose Daliang, Beijiao or Xingtan before choosing places

A Shunde address does not make these places neighbours. The area you choose changes the transport, meal plan and realistic finish.

  • 01

    One day
Use Daliang for Qinghui Garden and food, or make Fengjian the main water-town half. Do not collect both by default.

  • 02

    Two days
Pair one Daliang food-and-garden day with one Fengjian half day. He Art Museum is a separate Beijiao alternative for modern art.

  • 03

    Evening or family
Keep OCT Harbour PLUS as an optional later stop for rides, rain or children, not a compulsory cultural sight.

  4. What you’ll experienceOne of the classic Lingnan gardens—ponds, covered bridges and quiet courts for travelers who want more than temple crowds.Best for:Garden pace, cooler mornings, architectureArea & timeChancheng1.5–2.5 hoursTransitCentral Chancheng bus/taxi
  5. What you’ll experienceQiandeng Lake is a modern waterside park in Guicheng, most useful when you are staying nearby or want an easy evening after a denser heritage day. Come for one continuous promenade, open water and city light. It adds a modern Foshan pause, though a short first visit should still give priority to Zumiao and Shiwan.Best for:Evening light, easy walking, Guicheng staysArea & timeNanhai · Guicheng1.5–3 hoursTransitMetro Qiandenghu Station
  6. What you’ll experienceThe garden half of every popular Shunde day: compact Lingnan courts, timber halls and a soft start before the food streets.Best for:Shunde day trips, gardens, photographyArea & timeShunde · Daliang1.5–2.5 hoursTransitMetro to Daliang + walk
  7. What you’ll experienceA Tadao Ando-designed museum that gives Foshan a modern-art counterpoint to its temples and classical gardens. Go for the circular concrete architecture and the current exhibition, not as an add-on after a full Daliang day. Check the exhibition calendar, Monday closure and ticket conditions before travelling to Beijiao that day.Best for:Modern art, architecture, a Beijiao half dayArea & timeShunde · Beijiao2.5–4 hoursTransitGuangzhou Line 7 to Midea Station, then a short walk
  8. What you’ll experienceA lived-in Shunde village of canals, stone bridges, ancestral buildings and small boats. Fengjian works when the water-town setting is worth a separate transfer to Xingtan. Give it half a day, walk before deciding on a boat, and do not pretend that Qinghui Garden, Beijiao and Fengjian are one compact neighbourhood.Best for:Water-town walks, village heritage, a slower Shunde dayArea & timeShunde · Xingtan3–5 hoursTransitLive bus or taxi route to Xingtan and Fengjian Village
  9. What you’ll experienceA large Daliang entertainment district with themed streets, rides, a water park, food and evening lights. It is especially useful for families, rain plans or a later finish after the cultural stops close. Treat it as an optional modern contrast, not proof that every first-time visitor needs a theme-park afternoon.Best for:Families, rainy weather, evening entertainmentArea & timeShunde · Daliang2–5 hoursTransitFoshan Line 3 to Shunde OCT Harbour PLUS Station
  10. What you’ll experienceShunfengshan Park is the flexible green finish to a Daliang day. Go after Qinghui Garden and the main meal only when the heat and your energy still allow a walk. Choose one entrance and one short loop beside the water. The park is easy to skip, and it should never crowd out the meal or garden that brought you to Shunde.Best for:Digestive walks, sunset, balancing food daysArea & timeShunde · Daliang2–3.5 hoursTransitBus/taxi from Daliang
  11. What you’ll experienceThe mountain day that never fits after a Zumiao morning: forested slopes, cultural stops and weather-led pacing.Best for:Nature, cooler seasons, a deliberate Nanhai dayArea & timeNanhai · XiqiaoFull dayTransitDedicated transfer to Xiqiao
